Sustainability Lecture Series at the Albany Public Library​

In the Meeting Room from 3:00-4:30PM for the 4th Sunday of the odd months in 2025:

• May 25 - As part of ACAC's Sunday Sustainability presentations in collaboration with the Albany library, ACAC is hosting Native Trees for the Urban Forest  with local experts.  Consulting arborist Elizabeth Lanham will explore the importance of integrating native trees into the 'urban forest', including street trees, park trees, city landscapes, and home gardens.  Albany's Natural Areas Coordinator, Margot Cunningham, will share insight into the rich biodiversity of Albany, and an ACAC member will speak about Albany's free street tree program.

City of Albany Climate Action Committee

The Climate Action Committee serves as a technical advisory committee regarding matters related to climate action and to advise council on matters related to reducing greenhouse gases; and adapting to climate change. Monthly meetings are open to the public. Meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesdays of the month at 7:00 pm at City Hall.

Albany Climate Action Coalition is a group of engaged Albany, California citizens who are working towards an exciting carbon neutral future for our city. We hold monthly meetings.
